The football and volleyball seasons are really heating up as area play and the push for the playoffs are underway! We continue to recognize the Birmingham City School student-athletes that are performing at a high level and helping their teams during this last push from week 6 and week 7 of the fall athletic season!
We proudly recognize Week 6 Players of the Week:
Volleyball
Offensive Player: Kaylyn Howard – Sr. at Ramsay High School recorded 34 assist, 10 aces, and 37 kills.
Defensive Player: Terica Chambers –Sr. at Parker High School had 62 digs, along with 10 aces.
Football
Offensive Player: Christopher Williams – Sr. at Parker High School had an aspiring performance with more than 200 all-purpose yards and accounting for 5 total touchdowns.
Defensive Player: Jakobie Smith – Jr. Huffman High School recorded 12 solo tackles for the Vikings.
Week 7 Players of the Week:
Volleyball
Offensive Player: Deborah Garrett – Sr. at Parker High School was responsible for 33 digs, 16 aces, 57 assists, 39 kills, and 7 blocks.
Defensive Player: Terica Chambers –Sr. at Parker High School recorded 124 digs, 16 aces, and 5 assists.
Football
Offensive Player: Anthony Wiggins – Sr. at Huffman High School had a 298 total yards and l touchdown.
Defensive Player: Michael McFarland – Jr. Jackson-Olin High School recorded 9 solo, 4 assist, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and a force fumble.
