AHSAA 5A Basketball State Championship

Yesterday we knew there would be one Birmingham City School team competing at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning in the AHSAA 5A Boys’ Basketball State Championship game with Wenonah and Ramsay High School competing in the semi-final game at the BJCC. After the smoke cleared, the Dragons prevailed and will go on to represent the district in the 5A title game.

Both, the Lady Rams of Carver and Ramsay, fell short yesterday in their quest to reach Saturday’s final as well with Carver’s historic run ending with a loss to Opelika and 2018 5A state runner-up Ramsay falling to Madison Academy in a slug fest. We are SO PROUD of our scholars for representing themselves, their school, and serving as ambassadors for our district during the Final Four competition. Your sportsmanship, diligence, and hard work are unparalleled, and we look forward to your return next season! #BCSPride #BCSProud!
