Congratulations to Carver High School’s senior guard, Randrea Wright, who has been selected as the 2021 Alabama Sports Writers Association 5A Girls Basketball Player of the Year! Carver’s first girls basketball NCAA Division I signee will continue her education and basketball career at the University of Central Arkansas next year.
Wright completed a stellar playing career at Carver, where she amassed more that 2400 points for her career, with a senior season to remember. Randrea was named 2021 AHSAA 5A Girls Final Four Tournament MVP, ASWA First Team All-State Honors, selected to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game, and capped the year off being named Alabama’s best player in 5A girls basketball!
