Ramsay Boys’ Track and Field Highlight the BCS Performance in Gulf Shores

This weekend was an outstanding display of competitive spirt, unity, and support among the Birmingham City School District sister high schools during the 2021 AHSAA State Track and Field Championship in Gulf Shores!

The championship was highlighted by another record-breaking performance by Parker’s Jekovan Rhetta who set a new state record time in the 100-meter dash, and a meet record in the 200-meter. The Ramsay High School Boys Track and Field Team, led by Coach Justin Madison, brought home the “red map” as the 2021 5A  Outdoor Track and Field State Runner-Up!

Many of our scholars won medals in front of parents who traveled there in full support of all the students! The final Class 5A boys’ event , 5A Boys 4X400 meter relay, victory for Ramsay High School decided the State Runner-up between Parker and Ramsay!!!!

Our scholar-athletes represented our district and city with great pride and success! There were multiple event winners and top three finishers (medal winners) this weekend including:
