The brackets are out, and the road to Super Regional begins Monday, October 22 for all seven Birmingham City High Schools during area tournament play! Parker will host the 5A Area 9 tournament that starts at 4 p.m. Fellow member school, Wenonah, will play in the first game against Fairfield High. The #2 team in Class 6A, Ramsay Lady Rams, will host the Area 10 tournament, and Woodlawn will play in the 3:30 pm game against Briarwood Christian. Huffman travels to Homewood for a 6A Area 10 match-up with Shades Valley at 5 pm, while Carver and Jackson-Olin have a 3 pm 6A Area 11 showdown at Gardendale. Each tournament will consist of a single-elimination, best 3 out of 5 play, with the final two teams advancing to either the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, or the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
