Lady Dragons and Vikings 2021 Birmingham City High School Basketball Champions

The Birmingham City School District has crowned a City Champion for Girls and Boys High School Basketball! In the return of the BCS City Tournament, the Dragons and Vikings battled for the title in both the Girls and Boys Championship games at A. H. Parker High School Saturday night.

The Lady Dragons, led by Head Coach Trellice Moore, never relinquished their halftime lead to defeat Coach Lin Slater’s Lady Vikings 40 – 31 in a game that showcased a lot of young talent on both teams. We are truly looking forward to seeing what both squads will accomplish the remainder of the season.

In an up and down Boys game that went into overtime, Coach Steve Ward and his Vikings took the crown by defeating the Dragons 65 – 58 in Coach Cedric Lane’s first tournament in his return as Head Coach of Wenonah.

Congratulations to all of our scholars, and if you missed this tournament be sure to get out and support your BCS Schools! There are great things happening here!
