Jeremiah Williams Named 2020 ASWA 5A Lineman of Year

Last night, January 5th, Ramsay High School’s senior linebacker Jeremiah Williams was named Alabama Sports Writer Association 5A Lineman of the Year! The University of Florida signee helped lead the Rams to the 2020 AHSAA 5A Football Semi-finals, and also received All-American and 1st Team All-State Honors.

Jeremiah joins Alonzo Ephraim (Wenonah, 98), Jeffery Allen (Huffman, 01), Dominic Lee (Huffman, 02), and Andre Smith (Huffman, 05) as the fifth Birmingham City School scholar-athlete to receive this honor!

BCS High School Football September 11th

This week all seven Birmingham City High School football teams will play Friday night, September 11th! The Dragons (Pleasant Grove), Carver Rams (Fairfield), and Colonels (Briarwood) are on the road this week competing outside of the district. Good luck, and safe travels to those following our scholars tomorrow night!

We have three BCS games kicking off tomorrow night in the city!! The Vikings are 3-0 and hosting the ASWA #1 team in 6A, Mt. Brook, at Huffman High School.

The Mustangs return to the field this week in their first home game of the season against Mortimer Jordan at P. D. Jackson-Olin High School.

The Parker Thundering Herd will host BCS sister school, and #3 team in ASWA 5A poll, Ramsay Rams at William “Cap” Brown Stadium.
