Birmingham City Schools Compete at AHSAA Cross Country and Swimming Championships

Birmingham City Schools Department of Athletics is proud to recognize Curtis Watson of Carver High School, and Kristian Williams of Ramsay High School for qualifying and competing in individual events at Alabama High School Athletic Association State Championships!

Curtis is the first Carver scholar-athlete to ever qualify in the AHSAA Boys’ Cross Country Championship, which was held in Oakville, AL this year. He finished 6th at sectionals in Tuscaloosa, AL with a time of 20 minutes to earn an opportunity to compete in the state championship.

Kristian was at Auburn University Friday, November 30th, competing in the Boys’ 100 freestyle during the AHSAA State Swim Finals because of his 1:01.53 qualifying time. The junior Ramsay swimmer finished 15th in the state 100 yard freestyle competition!

Congratulations to both Kristian and Curtis, as well as all of the BCS scholar-athletes in cross country and swimming!
