The BCS Athletics Department has joined Councilor Jay Roberson’s office in partnering with Laced Up Boutique to recognize the graduating student-athlete in the district who has the highest GPA at the 7 respective Birmingham high schools.
Carver’s Javeas McCray 4.0, Huffman’s Thierry Havah 4.34, Jackson-Olin’s Kaylan Gaynor 3.973, Parker’s Amauri Pettaway 4.061, Ramsay’s Duante Deloach 4.2, Wenonah’s Caleb Hare 3.45, and Woodlawn’s Deatrice Goodman 3.8 will be honored during a recognition ceremony on Thursday, May 17th from 5-7 p.m. at Laced Up Boutique’s store.
This inaugural event will honor our district athletes for their academic achievement and diligence in representing the Birmingham City Schools as a model of the student-athlete.
